Throughout my career, I have played a pivotal role in overseeing investments, resource mobilization, and social safeguards within HEET project at MUCE. My responsibilities have included leading the College’s planning and budgeting processes, conducting feasibility studies for potential investment projects, engaging stakeholders, managing grievances, and assessing social impacts related to the HEET project. Key highlights of my contributions include:

  1. Leading the development and monitoring of the Environmental and Social Impacts Assessment (ESIA) report for the construction of four buildings (Science, Multimedia and Special Needs Education, Students' Hostel, and Physics Laboratory) at MUCE under the HEET project supported by the World Bank through the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (MoEST). These initiatives were aimed at enhancing higher education in Tanzania.

  2. Spearheading the preparation of feasibility studies for various investment projects, including the construction of a Business Center, Fuel Station, Multipurpose Hall, MUCE Hospital and other more. These endeavors were designed to bolster the College’s internally generated revenues.

In these capacities, I have leveraged my skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and project management to contribute to the sustainable growth and development of MUCE.

I hold a Master’s of Arts in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam and a Bachelor's Degree of Arts in Economics from Ardhi University. My academic journey has been marked by significant contributions to the field through thesis work, including:

  1. Thesis on "Digital Technology and Youth Employment in Dar es Salaam: A Case Study of Uber Application." This study explored:

  • Factors influencing the adoption of digital technology, specifically the Uber application, among youths in Dar es Salaam.

  • The impact of digital technology, particularly the Uber application, on youth employment in Dar es Salaam.

  1. Thesis on "The Role of Tourism in Poverty Alleviation in Dar es Salaam: The Case of Mwenge Craft Market." This research examined the contribution of tourism, with a focus on the Mwenge Craft Market, to alleviating poverty in Dar es Salaam.

Through these research endeavors, I have expanded the knowledge base in economics, with a particular emphasis on the intersection of digital technology, youth employment dynamics, and tourism's socio-economic impacts in urban settings.
