This is a three-year degree programme that aims at preparing graduate teachers. The degree programme equips the graduates with skills and knowledge on various disciplines including Kiswahili, Geography, Economics, French, English language, English literature, History, and Political Science. Students enrolled in the B.A. Education programme are required to take two teaching subjects (content courses) and Education courses. Therefore, the degree programme produces teachers specialised in two of the following courses or subjects:

History and English
History and Kiswahili
English and Kiswahili
English and Geography
English and French
History and Political Science (Civic education)
English and English Literature
Candidates with Form VI combinations of HGL, HGK, ECA, HKL, KIN, and HGE are eligible for this programme. The entry requirements include either having two principal passes in arts subjects at the Advanced Level or two Principal Level Passes in appropriate subjects, even if not from the same sitting, provided both passes are of grade 'C' or higher at the Advanced Level. The Minimum Admission Points for Form VI is established at 5 points from 3 subjects, with grading criteria as follows: A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, and S = 0.5. As an Equivalent Entry Qualification, candidates can possess a Diploma in Education with a minimum of Second class, Credit level, or a B average
