Press Release ACADEMIC PROMOTION

The Governing Board of Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) approved the promotion of the following staff members from Lecturer to SeniorLecturer with effect from 1 July 2025

Dr. Spemba Elias Spemba is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Since his last promotion to the position of Lecturer in June 2022, Dr. Spemba has earned a total of 5.5 points - 3.5 points from publications and 2 points from teaching.

Dr. Philpo John Gwevu is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Since his last promotion to the position of Lecturer in June 2020, Dr. Gwevu has earned a total of 5.3 points - 3.3 points from publications and 2 points from teaching. 

Dr. Aneth William Kasebele is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages and Literature in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Since her last promotion to the position of Lecturer in June 2022, Dr. Kasebele has earned a total of 5 points - 3 points from publications and 2 points from teaching. 

Dr. Christina Nelson Mbilinyi is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies in the Faculty of Education. Since her last promotion to the position of Lecturer in February 2022, Dr. Mbilinyi has earned a total of 5 points - 3 points from publications and 2 points from teaching. 

Dr. Edson Barongo Ishengoma is a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences in the Faculty of Science. Since his last promotion to the position of Lecturer in February 2022, Dr. Ishengoma has earned a total of 5.3 points - 3.3 points from publications and 2 points from teaching. 

Dr. Hawa Mohamed Mpate is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies in the Faculty of Education. Since her last promotion to the position of Lecturer in April 2021, Dr. Mpate has earned a total of 6.16 points - 4.16 points from publications and 2 points from teaching.
