UDSM DVC-Research Visits MUCE

Visit of Prof. Nelson Boniface, Vice Chancellor (Research), University of Dar es Salaam

On March 18, 2025, Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) played host to a special visitor: Prof. Nelson Boniface, the Vice Chancellor (Research) from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). The purpose of his visit was to discuss strategic ways of bolstering MUCE’s research capabilities and to strengthen collaboration between MUCE and its parent institution, UDSM.

From the moment Prof. Boniface arrived, excitement reverberated throughout the campus. The MUCE management team and faculty members welcomed and guided him to the venue where the main meeting took place. Eager to learn from his extensive research experience, everyone settled in with anticipation.

Following the presentation, the floor opened up for a lively and highly engaging question-and-answer session. Faculty members took the opportunity to inquire about strategies for managing collaborative research projects effectively, seeking guidelines on how to blend different academic disciplines into coherent, impactful studies, and many more ideas.

Before departing, Prof. Boniface reaffirmed UDSM’s commitment to supporting MUCE through mentorship and regular joint research activities. 

The visit concluded with a warm thank-you from the MUCE management team, who appreciated Prof. Boniface’s willingness to share his expertise. Attendees left the event with renewed determination to enhance the College’s research profile, confident that the guidance and collaborations fostered during this visit would lead to enduring academic excellence.
