MUCE Proposal Writing Workshop

Proposal Writing Workshop at MUCE

March 26–28, 2025

From March 26 to 28, 2025, Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) hosted an intensive Proposal Writing Workshop aimed at enhancing the research and grant-writing skills of its senior academic staff. The three-day workshop drew attendees from across different departments, all eager to refine their abilities in developing compelling proposals for both internal and external funding opportunities.

Leading the workshop was Prof. Joseph Ndunguru, Director General of the Tanzania Plant Health and Pesticides Authority (TPHPA). A recognized authority in scientific research, Prof. Ndunguru brought a wealth of expertise and first-hand experience to the sessions. As a distinguished researcher who has successfully secured numerous grants, his presentations and real-world insights served as an inspiration to participants.

By the close of the workshop on March 28, MUCE faculty walked away energized, equipped with fresh techniques and enhanced confidence in their proposal-writing abilities. Many expressed eagerness to apply their newfound skills immediately, both in ongoing research endeavors and in exploring novel funding opportunities.

MUCE extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Joseph Ndunguru for sharing his expertise and guiding participants toward producing high-caliber proposals. We look forward to seeing the ripple effects of this workshop in upcoming research projects, publications, and community-focused initiatives across the College.
