Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) has received a donation of books for the University Library from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of Tanzania on 5 March 2026.

Today, 9 March 2026, the Principal of the College, Prof. Method S. Semiono, joined staff from the College Library in a brief ceremony to cut the ribbon, symbolising the official reception of the donated books.

The donated books include important publications such as statistical data on the population and natural resources of Tanzania, various research reports, as well as educational and awareness materials on the Population and Housing Census. These resources are expected to support teaching, learning, and research activities within the College.

Speaking during the ceremony, Prof. Semiono urged the Library staff to ensure the books are well preserved and properly managed so that they can effectively serve their intended purpose.
