The Consortium of Tanzania University and Research Libraries (COTUL) has taken a bold step in revolutionising the library and information profession by organising a national training workshop on “Utilising Emerging Technologies for Library and Information Services in the Digital Age.” The workshop is taking place from 5th to 9th May 2025 at MUCE in Iringa.
On 4th May 2025, the Governing Board of MUCE, led by its Chairperson, Prof. William A. L. Anangisye, conducted a site visit to inspect the ongoing construction projects at the College.

On 3rd May 2025, MUCE convened a special Good Neighbourhood Meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration between the College and its surrounding communities. The meeting brought together key stakeholders including representatives from the Office of the Director of Students’ Services, the College Health and Environment Unit, MUCE Health Centre, the Student Government (DARUSO-MUCE), as well as local government leaders from neighbouring wards, security authorities, and other vital community partners.
On 1st May 2025, MUCE proudly announced its Best Employees of the Year 2025, recogniasing excellence in both administrative and academic categories.
For the administrative staff category, the Best Employee Award was presented to Mr. Jovine Tweve from the Planning and Development Unit, in recognition of his dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service.

Strengthening Research Partnerships at MUCE
On April 23rd, 2025, MUCE hosted a comprehensive Workshop on Writing Consultancy Proposals, aimed at equipping academic staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the university's consultancy procedures. The workshop welcomed faculty members from various departments and provided insights into the newly revised consultancy policies and operational procedures at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
