On May 16 and 17, 2024, academic staff from Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) participated in the final review of Teacher Education programmes held at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM). Mkwawa University college of Education (MUCE) hosted an event to commemorate the International Chinese Language Day, which was held on 23th April 2024. The event was attended by MUCE management, led by Prof. Deusdedit A. Rwehumbiza – MUCE Acting Principal, Dr. Zhang Xiaozhen - Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute and MUCE staff and students. Faculty of Education Secures Consultancy Worth 18 Million Tanzanian Shillings

We are thrilled to announce that the Faculty of Education has successfully secured a consultancy contract valued at 18 million Tanzanian shillings. The consultancy aims to conduct a comprehensive study on the "Barriers to Access and Use of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Services among Vulnerable Households in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar."

 

Academic Appointments in the Faculty of Education

We extend hearty congratulations to Dr. Hassan Iddy on his appointment as the Coordinator of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI). Joining him in leadership is Dr. Eunice Ndomondo, who assumes the role of Deputy Coordinator of CERI. Dr. Japhace Poncian Secures Grant for Regional Research Project

In a significant achievement for our academic community, Dr. Japhace Poncian, a Senior Lectuerer in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, has secured a grant totaling £1,700,000 as part of a pivotal research project focusing on African Extractivism and the Green Transition.
