Undergraduate programmes follow the Tanzania Commission for University (TCU) almanac, which varies each year. In general, applications usually open in July after form six results are released. Postgraduate degree programmes have two application windows: June to July and October. The application portal is closed outside these periods, so early or late applications are not possible. Check this link for updates. Programu za digrii za awali zinafuata kalenda ya Tume ya Vyuo Vikuu Tanzania (TCU), ambayo hubadilika kila mwaka. Kwa ujumla, dirisha la maombi kwa kawaida hufunguliwa mwezi Julai baada ya kutangazwa kwa matokeo ya kidatu cha sita. Kuna madilisha mawili ya maombi ya programu za digrii za uzamili: Juni hadi Julai na Oktoba. Nje ya muda huo, dirisha la maombi hufungwa, kwa hiyo, haiwezekani kuomba kabla au baada ya muda huo. Mwanafunzi aliyedahiliwa Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam anaweza kuhamia ndaki nyingine ya chuo kama ndaki hiyo mpya inatoa programu yenye digrii inayofanana. Uhamisho kutoka vyuo vikuu vingine unaruhusiwa endapo mwanafunzi anakidhi vigezo vya uhamisho vya chuo na ana hadia zinazotakiwa. Hii inahusisha ulinganishaji wa orodha hakiki ya kozi kati ya chuo kikuu kingine na chuo chetu. Wanafunzi lazima waeleze sababu za uhamisho. There are two semesters at MUCE:
  • First Semester: Starts around October 28 and runs for 15 weeks, ending in late February.
  • Second Semester: Begins in March after a short break and lasts 15 weeks, concluding around July, followed by teaching practice or practical training.

MUCE, in particular, and UDSM in general, provide support for students with disabilities. Applicants should state any disabilities during the application process. Students must register to secure their place at the university. If unable to attend for the academic year, students must reapply as new students the following year. Registered students can postpone studies with valid reasons.
At the start of each course, lecturers provide an outline of the modules and expected outcomes. Detailed course outlines, including reading lists, are distributed to students, who are required to have them.
MUCE offers on-campus hostels with a capacity for 1,150 students. Those who do not secure on-campus accommodation can find affordable options off-campus. Learn more about student accommodation.

Currently, MUCE does not offer scholarships. Students can privately fund their education, seek sponsors, or apply for loans from the Higher Education Students Loans Board.
