"Construction of New Library at MUCE"

The College is excited to announce the construction of a state-of-the-art library, generously funded by government development project funds. This ambitious project aims to create a modern and comprehensive learning hub for our students and staff.

The new library will span four floors and cover a total area of 4,887 square meters, providing ample space for various educational and research activities. It is designed to accommodate up to 1,500 people at the same time.

The library will house an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources across diverse fields of study. It will be equipped with the latest technology, including a high-speed internet, digital workstations, and multimedia resources to support contemporary learning methods. It will also include quiet study areas, group study rooms, and collaborative spaces to cater to different learning preferences and needs.

We are dedicated to providing our students with the best possible resources and facilities to support their educational journey.

Gender Sensitization
Gender Sensitization: A call to stop gender-based violence and enhance workplace safety

In a bid to foster a culture of gender equality and safety within the academic environment, the Diversity Unit of Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) organized a capacity-building seminar on Gender Sensitization for its staff held on 16th June 2024. The seminar was a platform for the participants to discuss critical issues surrounding gender-based violence and workplace safety. The event was attended by staff members from various departments at MUCE.

Enhancing Guidance and Counseling Skills to Foster a Supportive and Inclusive Learning Environment

On March 13, 2024, our College hosted an inspiring seminar dedicated to raising awareness about the crucial guidance and counseling services available to our students and staff. This enlightening event was generously funded by the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project.
