MUCE Staff Attend Pre-Supervision Seminar for Teaching Practice

In preparation for supervising students during their Teaching Practice (TP), MUCE staff participated in a pre-supervision seminar designed to equip them with essential knowledge and skills. The seminar, held on 25 July 2024, covered key topics, including TP regulations, the role of supervisors, lesson planning, supervisor ethics, assessment procedures, and accommodating students with special needs.

Seminar Highlights

Deputy Principal - Academic, Research, and Consultancy, Dr. Orestas Kapinga, emphasized the significance of teaching practice in his opening remarks. He stated, "Although Teaching Practice is very demanding and challenging due to different conditions, it serves as a bridge between the theoretical knowledge that the students learn and the real-world classroom dynamics. So every supervisor and student must perform this activity well."

Aims and Objectives: The seminar aimed to ensure that supervisors are well-prepared for the practical teaching experience, thereby enhancing the quality of guidance provided to students during their teaching practice.

Looking Forward: With this comprehensive preparation, MUCE supervisors are now better equipped to support and evaluate students effectively, ensuring a successful and enriching teaching practice experience for all involved.
