MUCE Hosts Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for ADVANCE Project
On 6th May 2025, Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) proudly convened a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting as part of the ADVANCE Project—Advancing Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship through Postgraduate Education in East Africa.
The project is a bold initiative designed to empower the next generation of social entrepreneurs in Tanzania and Uganda. Central to this mission is the development of a Postgraduate Diploma in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a programme rooted in service learning and real-world problem-solving. Through this qualification, students will be equipped with the tools to address social challenges innovatively and sustainably.
During the consultation, a broad spectrum of stakeholders—ranging from academics and policymakers to business leaders and development experts—gathered to define the core competencies needed for future changemakers. Key among these were leadership, ethical decision-making, impact measurement, and digital literacy.
🎯 The overarching goal of the ADVANCE Project is clear: to prepare students to create employment opportunities, drive meaningful social transformation, and launch enterprises that contribute to inclusive development across East Africa.
MUCE remains committed to advancing academic programmes that respond to societal needs and promote sustainable development through innovation and education.
