MUCE Researchers Secure Erasmus Edu 2023 Consultancy Project

Four distinguished researchers from MUCE have won a prestigious consultancy project funded by Erasmus Edu 2023. The project, titled "Fostering Occupational Health and Safety Competences and Skills Growth for Sustainable Jobs in the Sub-Saharan African Region (FOCUS)," aims to enhance workplace safety and skill development in the region.

MUCE Scholar Dr. Edson B. Ishengoma and Cambridge's Dr Emília Santos Secure Prestigious Cambridge – Africa ALBORADA Research Fund 2023

In a remarkable achievement this year, our brilliant faculty member, Dr. Edson B. Ishengoma, a Lecturer in Zoology, has teamed up with Dr Emília Santos of Cambridge University to secure the prestigious Cambridge – Africa ALBORADA Research Fund 2023. Their groundbreaking project, "Adaptive Genomic Diversity of Tanzanian Riverine Cichlids in Light of Climatic and Anthropogenic Stressors," stood out among 32 selected projects across Africa. Impressively, it's one of just seven from East Africa and only two from Tanzania.

In an extraordinary achievement that extends the reach of Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE) far beyond its borders, Dr. Amos V. Ntarisa, a Lecturer of Physics at MUCE, recently assumed the prestigious role of Guest Scientist at the Centre of Excellence in Glass Technology and Material Science (CEGM), located at Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.
