Biography

Dr. Pauline Gervas Mhango is the Lecturer at Mkwawa University College of Education, a Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. He is a linguist literary specialist more rooted in Kiswahili Linguistics and Literature. He specializes in languages and identity aiming at showing how languages stratify speakers in groups. His areas of focus in research include: Language and Identity, Applied Linguistics General, Teaching Kiswahili as Second Language, African Children’s Literature, Kiswahili Literature and Identity Politics, Literature and Cultural Translation, Interpretation, Eco-Critical studies and Editing.
