Biography

Aaron Mkanga Manaseh is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Management, Faculty of Education. Dr. Manaseh obtained a Bachelor of Education in Science (B.Ed. Science), Master of Education Management and Administration (MEMA), and a PhD (Education) from the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania). He conducts lectures in both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the following courses: School Governance, Human Resource Management and Development in Education, Management of Education and School Administration, Administrative and Organisational Behaviour in Education, and Policy, Planning and Administration. Dr. Manaseh also reviews papers for both local and international journals. He has been involved in an international research project entitled “Supporting Teacher Education, Well-being, and Retention to Inform Feasible Policies and Incentives in Africa (STEP-EA)” 2025-2026 as Liaison Officer and researcher. The project is funded by the European Commission under the Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa.  It is conducted in partnership with Hame University of Applied Sciences, University of Nairobi, Egerton University, Dar es Salaam University College of Education, and Mkwawa University College of Education.

  

While Dr. Manaseh’s PhD research focuses on the discursive construction of educational leaders’ subjectivities in higher learning institutions, his Master’s dissertation explored instructional leadership practices in community secondary schools in Iringa. Dr. Manaseh conducts research in instructional leadership, educational leaders’ and teacher preparation, entrepreneurship education for educational leaders and teachers, integration of digital technologies into science education, the role of entrepreneurship education in promoting innovative pedagogies and innovation in teacher preparation, and the capacity of school committees in enhancing school completion. His research focuses on enhancing educational leaders’ capacity for leading successful educational institutions. They also focus on empowering teachers with the capacity to integrate digital technologies and innovative pedagogies and innovation to promote excellence in teaching and learning. Through his research, Dr. Manaseh contributes to the development of successful educational leadership systems, teaching and learning across educational levels through publications and consultancy.
