Biography

Biography

Ms. Casiana Blasius Lwiwa works as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Science at Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE). Ms. Lwiwa holds Masters in Physics of the University of Dar es Salaam. Her research area has been assessment of air quality using a Box model. Later, she secured a PhD scholarship financed by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) through the NORAD programs Energy and Petroleum and NORHED II. She performed both numerical research (design and optimization) and experiments on the 3D Compound Parabolic Concentrator (CPC) coupled with the heat storage for cooking. Other interested research activities includes solar thermal and solar heat storage. Ms. Lwiwa is currently waiting for the PhD defence at NTNU. Ms. Lwiwa has shown a great interest in particular on the CPC coupled with the heat  storage for cooking.

 

Awards

  • PhD scholarship financed by the strategic area NTNU through Capacity Building in Renewable Energy, Education and Research (Africa), NORAD programs Energy and Petroleum and NORHED II.

  • The 16th International conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics (HEFAT), one of the best presented paper.
