As a warden, I have been actively involved in several projects both within and outside MUCE. At MUCE, one notable achievement was serving as a key facilitator for the guidance and counselling seminar. This seminar was designed to enhance the staff's capacity in providing effective guidance and counselling, with a specific focus on supporting students.
In addition to my role at MUCE, I have a background in public health education. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I served as a public health educator in the Kilimanjaro region, where I played a critical role in disseminating vital information and educating the public about preventive measures and health protocols.
Moreover, I have acted as a research assistant on various public health research projects. These projects have included extensive research on maternal health and non-communicable diseases. My contributions to these projects involved data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings, which have been instrumental in shaping health policies and interventions.
During my Master of Public Health (MPH) studies, I completed a significant research paper: Mwingo, R. M. (2020). Exploring Community Perception Towards Early Seeking of Antenatal Care Services: The case of Shimbi Ward in Rombo District, Kilimanjaro. MPH Dissertation, University of Dar es Salaam. This research focused on understanding community attitudes towards early antenatal care, providing valuable insights for improving maternal health services in the region.
In addition to my dissertation, I have prepared numerous term papers related to my area of study, including:
The Impact of Health Education on Preventive Health Behavior in Rural Communities
Barriers to Accessing Healthcare Services in Remote Areas
The Role of Community Health Workers in Enhancing Public Health Outcomes
