Biography

Ms. Piyazis, holding a Master's degree in Development Studies from University of Dodoma (UDOM), serves as an Assistant Lecturer, researcher, and consultant specializing in development issues. Her primary areas of expertise include community participatory development, poverty alleviation strategies, analysis of social protection programs, and gender and development. With nearly seven years of experience working closely with Local Government Authorities, particularly Singida District Council, in the capacity of a Community Development Officer, she has honed her skills in mobilizing communities to improve livelihoods and advocating for the empowerment of youth and women in decision-making processes. She was a District Coordinator of Productive Social Safety Net (PSSN) and Timiza Malengo Programs at Singida District Council, her collaborative efforts with organizations such as Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF), Tanzania Youth Association (TAYOA), and Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS) have focused on coordinating and managing cash transfer programs aimed at supporting impoverished households, as well as adolescent girls and young women. Her professional profile is characterized by a proactive approach, strong problem-solving abilities, and time management.
