MUCE proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of three distinguished scholars whose contributions to research and academic leadership continue to elevate the College’s global standing.
Godlisten N. Shao from the Department of Chemistry has achieved an impressive 2,250 citations, underscoring his significant contributions to the field of chemistry and high-impact research. He also serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies, supporting academic quality and student success.
Jaquiline Amani, a scholar in the Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies, has received 729 citations, reflecting her impactful work advancing education and human capital development. In addition to her research excellence, she serves as Deputy Principal – Planning, Finance and Administration, playing a key role in institutional leadership and strategic direction.
Japhace Poncian of the Department of History, Political Science and Development Studies has recorded 768 citations, demonstrating his influence in social sciences and policy-relevant research. He further contributes as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, guiding academic programs and research within the faculty.
These achievements align with the College’s strong performance in the AD Scientific Index 2026, reaffirming MUCE’s position as a leader in research, innovation, and knowledge production in Tanzania and beyond.
