MUCE Hosts Workshop on Consultancy Proposal Writing

On April 23rd, 2025, MUCE hosted a comprehensive Workshop on Writing Consultancy Proposals, aimed at equipping academic staff with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the university's consultancy procedures. The workshop welcomed faculty members from various departments and provided insights into the newly revised consultancy policies and operational procedures at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).

The workshop kicked off with welcome remarks from the MUCE Principal, Prof. Method Samwel Semiono, followed by a presentation on the Dissemination of the UDSM Revised Consultancy Policy by Prof. Neema Mori, Director of Public Services of UDSM. Participants also received valuable guidance on using the CONRIS system for consultancy project registration, with Dr. Hezron Makundi, Manager of the University Consultancy Bureau of UDSM, demonstrating technical support for user account setup.

In addition to administrative procedures, the workshop focused on practical aspects, including configuring sub-accounts for MUCE staff on the new public procurement portal (NEST). The afternoon session provided an opportunity for an open discussion led by Dr. Willey Kasuga from MUCE.

This workshop, organized by the Directorate of Public Services and Outreach Programmes of MUCE, under Dr. Chakupewa Joseph Mpambije, was an essential step in enhancing the university's ability to engage with external consultancy projects, ensuring that faculty members are well-equipped to participate in the growing demand for consultancy services.
