We’re incredibly proud to recognize the outstanding work of the MUCE staff — Fikira, Juma, Frank, Selemani, Asha, and Benjamin — who played a key role in earning the 2025 Prize of Excellence in Semiochemical Research.

Through hands-on fieldwork and farmer engagement, the MUCE team helped bring semiochemical-based pest management solutions directly to smallholder maize and tomato farmers. Their efforts supported reduced reliance on harmful insecticides, improved crop protection, and promoted more sustainable, farmer-friendly agriculture.

This recognition highlights not just innovation, but the dedication, local leadership, and real-world impact of MUCE staff working at the community level.
