Biography

Benito Mng’ong’o is Lecturer in Mathematics at Mkwawa University College of Education (MUCE)- A Constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam. He was born in 1/10/1968 (in Iringa region, Tanzania). Benito obtained his Diploma in Education (Physics & Mathematics) at the then Mkwawa Teachers College (1985), a Bachelor of Education (Science) (2000), his Master of Science in Mathematical Modelling (2011) and in 2022 he obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics all at the University of Dar es Salaam.

Before joining MUCE, Benito worked as a secondary school teacher in different schools where he held various positions; class teacher, academic master, school board member, second headmaster and a headmaster.

Skills: Welding and Metal Fabrication, computer literate. 

Hobby:  Crop production including tree planting.
